Insulation Package

Our Insulation Package is designed specifically for cedar hot tubs, balancing heat retention with proper airflow and moisture management to protect the natural wood construction.
The floor of the tub is fully insulated to reduce heat loss from below, while an engineered insulating air gap is maintained around the perimeter of the tub. This allows the cedar to naturally breathe and lets any moisture or water drain freely away from the wood instead of becoming trapped against the sides.
The tub is first wrapped in a reflective thermal foil barrier to help retain heat within the body of the tub. Over that, we install a layer of tar paper which helps create a durable weather seal while also absorbing warmth from the sun. The entire system is then finished with matching cedar skirting so the tub maintains the classic appearance and feel of a traditional cedar hot tub.
Together, these layers create an effective thermal barrier between the hot water and the outside elements, helping the tub hold heat more efficiently in both hot and cold climates.
The insulated stair/equipment unit is also lined with reflective thermal insulation to help trap warmth generated by the pumps and equipment while still allowing proper airflow and ventilation for reliable operation.
